The Resteinheit forms the core collection of the Chronosemicon: a gathering of physical, textual and visual artefacts in which residual knowledge accumulates. Each object carries traces of thought, system-formation, failure, displacement or transmission. These are materials that keep resonating beyond their original context.
Here, Denkstücke are collected: objects, publications, fragments and images that activate thought. They function as points of condensation where knowledge, fiction, material, noise and interpretation meet. Their value lies in the tension they preserve and in the connections they make possible.
Selection proceeds through temporal resonance, conceptual charge and interference potential. An artefact enters the Resteinheit when it renders a dormant connection visible, puts a system under pressure, or reactivates an unfinished thought.
Within the Chronosemicon, the Resteinheit functions as storeroom, memory layer and pressure field. From this core collection, materials can be re-read, reworked and activated in the Werkstatt, to later circulate as text, image, publication or signal via the Sendestelle.
